Mister Rod Goes to Anduruna: Part Seven

Welcome everyone...it's that time again, yes that's right, more of Rod Garth's sexcapades in the Dreamworld and Anduruna, this time with a much lesser known character of Dreamkeepers that of Hallforth, Lilith's middle school teacher.

Story

As it happened, Ishtar lied about sending them into the future.

Instead he just plopped Rod and Chieko into the Sabbaton Towers again, apparently thinking they wouldn't know the difference.

But they did.

This time, he wanted Chieko to distract some librarian named Peaks while Rod proceeded to go and find a specific tome called "Sheela Na Gish Vol II: The Real Entrance" which was in a very secluded and hard to reach part of the library.
There was some bizarre passage within it that he needed, Chieko pointed out again that he could warp space and time with ease, why the hell would he need them to do this? His response?

"What do you think I have hired help for?"

Hired help here meaning 'schmucks I dragged out of their universe because I'm a complete bastard.'

Regardless, Chieko and Rod agreed to it, especially since Chieko decided that while the search for answers about Ishtar in the Calypsa library failed, the Sabbaton library might have more information, it being the city's center and capital and all.

So they played their parts, Chieko had no damn clue why she had to do the distracting but it helped her anyways, since her method of distracting involved asking for books on 'Ishtar' or anything about a mysterious, winged time/space warping being.

Rod was in this apparently offlimits section of library, but while he found the tome, he ran into a local schoolteacher who was looking for a history volume she needed for her lesson that Monday, and she was certainly surprised to find an alligator in a leather jacket had snuck in.

But while she smelled a rat, Rod Garth was able to avoid trouble most suavely, putting the moves on Hallforth and getting her interested in a date, as a result she said that as far as he was concerned, he was never here.

In the end, Chieko had nothing to show for her distraction, but Ishtar had what he wanted. Rod pointed out the whole book was just about doors, but Ishtar assured them that there's a secret message encoded within.
He was very cagey about just what he needed with the book and whether it was actually important. He was grateful however, but before he could actually send them into the future, Rod begged him not to send them just yet.

Apparently he promised Hallforth a date.
Ishtar shuffled his feet and said he may as well oblige.

So Rod took Hallforth to dinner, thanks to some money Ishtar provided in a surprising display of generosity. After which, Hallforth took Rod off to her place for a different sort of dinner.

Only it was his libido that was fed.

The morning after, he and Hallforth went their separate ways. And she hoped she could meet this handsome, warmhearted alligator again.

She...did not.

Her diaries after this date would later voice her displeasure helpfully.

Just ask Troika.

There was a good reason they were reading them...

Rod Garth belongs to me.

Hallforth belongs to Dreamkeepers
