in actual game lore... shes a different dimension lombax.... so she has a tail while being female

I don't understand why people are so hell-bent on this character being trans because she has a tail or females lombaxes as a whole not having a tail to begin with. I mean, we've literally only seen 3 lombaxes in the whole series so far (not counting the RA one), and only one of them (Angela) was female. People just extrapolated from there and the devs themselves have stated that they regretted not giving her a tail in GC.

Maybe there are lombax subspecies, or maybe Angela lost her tail or just hid it inside her armor just like Ratchet did in Gladiator.

https://twitter.com/OtterlyToast/status/1271249507058155520 the literal character designers for her are making hrt jokes and confirming her as intended to be trans. she's fucking trans. so maybe people Shouldn't be making 'futa' jokes about her because thats fucking awful

Even *if* she is trans, why exactly shouldn't people draw futa art of this character ? Playing around with a character's gender in fanart is a pretty common practice...

Because 'futa' is a fetish based off of trans women, and calling a canon trans character 'futa' is like, really shitty.

Good thing it's not canon then

i literally just linked a twitter page where the trans character designers confirmed that her being trans is the intention. shut the fuck up.

They made a joke, that is not the same as confirming it as canon...

The thing everybody seems to forget this is coming after the new reboot, meaning it is be default of a different canon.
Perhaps in this canon female Lombax had less sexual dimorphism instead of looking like a human but. . . not, as per the original.

It's less to do with canon, and more to do with too many people insert a transgender headcannon in the first place.

It's perfectly fine to put a character in a different light, but it becomes problematic when people get toxic over it.
It's never okay to get toxic over something.

That, and making her a futa because she is trans doesn't really sit well with her wanting to be an actual female, cis or otherwise.

I've seen a few call her an Artic Lombax due to her light coat. I like this thought, if she is indeed a subspecies.

It is ? I thought the 2016 game was just a remake of the first one, meant to be a tie-in for the movie, with Rift Apart itself being a sequel to the main continuity (the original trilogy and PS3 games, that is).

Kinda sucks if it's indeed a full series reboot; I grew up with the original continuity, I wasn't expecting them to discard it and start again from scratch.

I had a look on Wikipedia and it says it's a re-imagining of the original, so yes it could very much be called a reboot.

And Rift Apart is also stated to be a sequel to the 2016, so it follows the continuity of the 2016 game.

However, it doesn't actively call it that, so it's not impossible to just recall it as a remake instead if you want to see it as that.

My god, just imagine what this fictional character must be feeling right now after being called a futa?! Oh wait, she wouldn't care. Because she's not real...

  • As a trans woman I gotta nip this one in the bud
1 Futa or not related to trans people at all its related to the idealized hermaphrodite body wich in Japan is seen as the body of the gods or to be a perfect being... Well at least a long time ago

2 as a trans woman I love seeing Futa or chicks with dicks becouse it gives me the thought that even with out surgery I can some day still look stunning if I try enough

3 last point if your not trans for ducks sake don't get your nipples in a twist to get offended for us. honestly it's degrading to us to have people get offended for us saying what we are offended by from strangers when normaly the things people on on about over all we don't care about or honestly enjoy like traps herms fembois and so on

OK I'm a waiting my downvotes now

False. "Futa" is shorthand for "futanari," which is the Japanese word for "hermaphrodite." True, it's also used-these days-for what this site would call a gynomorph, but the fact of the matter is, nobody into futa stuff gives two shits whether the lady in question was born with a penis and the genes to develop tiddies later, or one or the other is artifical. They only care about what parts are present, not how they got there. And if you're about to try and tell me "But the very idea of a person with both breasts, and a penis, is just a representation of trans women!" then let me stop you there: No, it's not. There exist, in real life, people who were BORN with both sets of genitals, who may or may not have gone on to develop breasts upon reaching puberty; as well as those who were BORN with only a penis, but went on to develop breasts naturally when puberty hit. Just because they're not as common as trans women, doesn't mean they don't exist.

Also, no, developers making jokes about her being trans do not make it canon that she is. In fact, that's stronger evidence of the opposite. Because they're JOKES.

Because trannies are obsessed with validating their life choices, hence why they will desperately headcanon every single videogame/cartoon character as trans.
