  • If only two members of the team are able to properly defend themselves, then the whole team should really do some combat training together.

  • Sadly, that's the reality of every conflict - innocent lives get caught in crossfire, over something either pointless or they had no interest in.

  • Been armed doesnt mean they have a chance, probably they were just communers with weapons. But yeah, those things are clearly lethal

  • Why did the two of them even win? Were the caravan guards complete novices or something?

Just because they had weapons doesn't mean they were warriors. In most cases, just the advantage of being armed is enough to protect you, but that doesn't mean much against opponents like those things. Miralle and Leo are fully trained combatants chosen by a goddess herself. They just made it look easy.

I doubt caravan guards are trained to fight monsters, probably just only needed to deal with thieves or bandits.

    Was this fight easy?
May the stars protect them when it is most difficult.

The simple fact of carrying weapons is probably enough to deter most bandits, who will seek easier pray. They won't know you can't actually use them or use them well. Intimidation seems to be less effective against monsters.

  • Aren't those the twin daggers Tristan has in the character sheet? Typical RPG character, getting straight to looting the bodies I see.

  • I have never advocated war except as means of peace, so seek peace, but prepare for war. Because war... War never changes.
