I didn’t even look back, I let the long silence speak for itself.
“He...eventually he came back.”
That strained voice eventually returned, suppressing his hatred to get this over with.
“Seemed fine, pretty much unharmed. Refused to ever tell us who it was that attacked us.”
The boards beneath the large tears in my rug splintered audibly beneath his claws.
“If I ever find out who that was, I’ll fuck them so hard they’ll break.”

The witch's client has more of his reasons to be frustrated bubbling to the surface.
His choice of punishment implies a lot about their culture, it would seem.
