Actually no. They may look similar but the StG 44 didn't exist until after Mikhail was hospitalized in 1941. If you look at the image I provided you can tell that the weapon to her side is an AK and not an StG. Mikhail also stated that he had never seen an StG when he designed the AK.

the only things that are the same are basically an intermediate rifle round and the 30 round standard magazine basically everything else is different unless you mean modern aks that are more often stamped instead of milled usually
