April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

Member"I was tinkering with the idea of making the Basitins more of a magitech race, to make up for their lack of magic users."
So they were going to be the Garlean empire from Final fantasy 14 before final fantasy 14 existed. that would of been SO cool.

MemberI get the feeling that if I told her my eyes were looking above her knees instead of below them, I'd get shot three times instead of two.

MemberDeciding against magitek basitins is a missed opportunity but seeing how all races still use swords and shields I guess them being the best melee fighters is fine.

MemberGive the Basitin the ingenuity and creativity of our world's firearms technology, and they will single-handedly wipe out their entire world in a couple of decades, at the very least they should reach WWII technology against the dragons.

MemberWould welcome these Basitins. Maybe make them FAR future ones. 8)

MemberPerhaps make the Basitins from the south... the Deep South.

MemberMore like they'd be able to body nearly everyone BUT dragons. We saw first hand how even a fledgling like Reno can just butterfly away weapons. And she's bad at transformation magic.

MemberThat's why I say that with World War II level firearms technology, the Basitin could go toe to toe with the dragons. Not even talking about technology from the 1950s, where the first air-to-air guided missiles began to appear.
Dragons are the ONLY latent threat of magic, so far the masks have either not shown their full potential or have restrictions to do so. Outside of that, the rest of the magic shown does not pose a problem for the weapons technology of our world, except for infiltration magic (as transformation), but as the technology adapts to the needs of its civilization, finding or manufacturing artificial solutions is possible, advantages of science, my friend.
