  • I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but penis piercings make me cringe hard. The amount of pain there would be getting one and the idea of having more holes in my dick just sounds the opposite of pleasant.

As long as you don't intend to pierce the smooth muscle tissue, it's just in the skin, I believe. If you pierce the smooth muscle, you're giving yourself ED.

So it's not just me then? Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Hate to necro, but neither of these are true. Penile piercings can be done at any point along the shaft (piercings on the underside, for example, are quite common.) In any penile piercing, you are penetrating the spongy membrane that fills with blood to cause an erection (there is no "smooth muscle" in the penis, and besides, piercing a muscle does not remove its functionality.) Phallic piercings extremely rarely if ever have an impact on sexual performance, and they certainly don't cause erectile dysfunction. Do educate yourself before spreading misinformation about something you find unpleasant.

Whilst I agree that on piercing safety, the there is in fact smooth muscle. All blood vessels contain a layer in their walls of smooth muscle tissues to allow them to constrict and dilate, and the cavernosa is no different.
