  • I know Alduin’s the main focus of the picture, and he’s quite the looker for sure, but just for shits and giggles, does anyone know where this screenshot was taken? I want to say either in the plains to the west of Whiterun, or somewhat to the Southwest of Riverwood...

Prety sure this is actually the lake next to Riften, given the path and mountains in the background.

  • Found a funny thing here. I was searching for Wyvern tag and saw this. Alduin. When I was playing Skyrim I was sure that there were only dragons, not wyverns. Then I found out that dragons have 4 legs while wyverns have 2. Now if you think of it like that, in Skyrim there were wyverns instead of dragons.

I'm sure that wyverns are just a type of dragon, only that it's more specific to the 2 legged dragon is all. Like a subtype. You can call a wyvern a dragon, but you can't call a dragon a wyvern unless it fits.

A wyvern is technically a sub-species of dragon, but traditional lore states wyverns have two legs, two wings and a poisonous barb at the end of their tail, which they use the exact way a Scorpion uses it's tail. But generalisation lumps wyverns in with other creatures like drakes (really small dragons), Lindwyrms (Wingless wyverns), Amphiptere (legless wyvern, still has wings) and wyrms (legless and wingless dragons)

Noice. Which traditional lore is that? Medieval right?

I believe it was Medieval, yes, same as how werewolves and Lycans are sub-species of each other but one is a giant wolf and the other is a wolf-man.
