Description

This started as an anatomy study of Huven because he's the first male storm rider[half, at least] I've designed. Due to being half stickman, he's got some stickman characteristics like broader shoulders and a flatter chest, as well as being way stumpier and more weirdly proportioned than his mom. Kinda the platonic inverse of the "person is half dragon but the only dragon characteristics they have are horns and wings".

He also has a little bit of scoliosis from his terrible posture- it's hard to notice on its own, but if you compare him to his mother, his back curves upward more than hers does.

Male storm riders, which he shares most of his phenotypes with, have an elastic bare-skin pouch on their stomach which delivers body heat straight into eggs and newborns. This is a feature that's considered rather new in their family of dragons, only having been evolved within the past million years, and is isolated to a few genuses of eastern dragon in SRC. The female will use her pseudo-penis to lay eggs directly into the male's pouch, which will then incubate for several months before hatching and then eating the remainder of the eggshells and nutritious sweat released from the porous skin. This "maternal" state is only triggered by the hormones freshly laid dragon eggs release, which means a storm rider can stuff things like rocks and trinkets into his pouch no problem. Storm rider men were usually the ones doing most of the parenthood, but considering their species has been reduced to one pure-blooded female and several males she has never met, Huven's mother had to raise him herself.
