Well, steel is heat conductive, but also cooling well on air so it depends how far the grip is from the heating core and how high the flames goes up.

I will say it is hot, but not branding hot and the orange color on the hilt would be just the light from fire. Also we could say the crown demon is not an ordinary bitch.

well considering that this sword is always in the bonfire, and this bonfires source of heat is a magical flame that brought life to beings.... im pretty sure its hot as a motherfucker. if i had a vagina, i most certainly would be keeping it well clear of this thing.

The Bonfires of Dark Souls don't actually burn you, their flames are more of an ethereal thing, with the DS2 torch itself saying that the only reason you can light it off the bonfire is because of the powdered bones of undead that are mixed in the resin on it
