Description

This is one of my longest pages workload-wise at 47 hours, but it's FINALLY done! Better late than never, as always. I don't think I was really prepared for just how much inking there was to do on this page, because the inking took me 25 hours alone. Going forward I'm definitely going to watch not only how many characters/monsters I put on one page but what kind of camera shots each character will be featured in, because the 9 characters on this page (not including the monster)required almost all fullbody shots, and those take the longest to ink.

I'm pretty happy with how this page turned out compared to previous pages, though. I was worried the varying colors were too contrasting, but I think it actually works really well.
I took some inspirations from monkey style kung fu and qin na martial arts here, for unarmed combat and for grappling martial arts methods. Usually Jin has his staff to work with but not here, in actual combat when he needs it, figures=P (Razz) , so I looked for parts of monkey stick kung fu displays that don't use the staff and used that as inspiration. It isn't easy to display the feel and movement of the martial arts in comics without a ton of panels at one's disposal, so I had to look for only key key poses. Where Jin's choreography could have easily taken up 8 to 10 key poses to show the full extent of the action, I had to condense it into no more than 3. Perhaps there are ways of showing more poses on future pages, when I don't try to cram so much action onto one page, ideally.

Also, Tiil's helping. She's doing her best =P (Razz)
