This is a character named Jabari (Means "Brave One" in Swahili) that I've created with a excellent artist named Ferroth on Deviantart. https://www.deviantart.com/ferroth

His backstory is that he is the long lost prince of a fallen kingdom of Anubis jackal men who were conquered and enslaved by their enemies, The Setians, who resemble Set. His father the pharaoh was defeated in battle, imprisoned and tortured, but kept alive to this day, while his mother the queen fled with him into the desert when he was still a baby. She barely struggled to survive with him until she ultimately perished from thirst and starvation due to giving all her food and water to baby Jabari to keep him alive. A pack of jackals find him. who raise him as one of their own like Mowgli from the Jungle Book. He finds a temple dedicated to his people's patron god Anubis where he finds a khopesh belonging to his ancestors and becomes aware of his heritage and destiny. He then sets off on a quest to free his people from their enslavement.

This is a character of his. The idea was for him to be a species inspired by Anubis, a pharaoh prince who went from riches to rags early after birth when his mother and father were usurped. Fleeing into the desert, Jabari was left in the care of jackals (much like a the jungle book) near an oasis.

This was quite an interesting reward because megajeff allowed me to come up with a name for this noble, wild Anubian. I have chosen the name Jabari, which means “Brave One.”
