  • Not for nothing, but i wouldn't upload something when there is a glaring issue you know about that is not especially hard to fix. At least count on people to say something about it.

Fix the smoothing, cause then you'd have something cool, or don't and continue being the guy with jaggy sonic porn. It's your choice to make. =)

We'll, my question is, how would you actually fix it? I don't think Darksorm made these SFM/GMOD models and as far as I know (working with Disembowell's NSFW FNAF animatronics)there isn't any in SFM smoothing technique. I've actually been having a hard enough time trying to get said models onto blender or maya to add detailing work/damage/clothing.

I'd think it to be more productive to give suggestions then simply say "continue to make work like this so I can scorn you for it more later."

Thanks, m8! Got it in 1! The models were made by a guy called KabalMystic as quick conversions, smoothing wasn't his priority. And SFM is JUST a animator, there's no real way to affect models like that that I've found!

You misunderstand. I am not offering to help fix it, or advise fixing it. I'm not even saying he should stop. However, if you use jaggy models, you should also expect downvotes. If you want to fix it don't just rely on SFM. If you actually care, put the extra effort in. If not, like I said, he can feel free to continue making jaggy sonic porn. *shrugs* People looking for SFM pornography arn't very discerning, hell most of it is a clipping mess. If people don't like this with that in mind, you would be better off fixing models before animation if you give a fuck about if people like it at all.

M8, I just pose shit in SFM. Thats it. Working on models like that may be a long term goal of mine, but its a pipe dream right now. This is one of the worse examples of what I make, the lighting was very off and the files were deleted, making it impossible to fix, so judging the entirety of my library by one example is a little harsh. And as for the extra effort, I think you are vastly underestimating the amount of learning and work that that takes. Besides, if your that against my work why are you posting on it? If I'm not your cup of tea due to my amateur status and skill level, move on! There are WAY better than me out there, even most of them by my regard... Watch them and pass me by!

    1. I'm not upset or anything. I can blacklist you if I cared either way about seeing your stuff or not. That's not the issue here. I just have to clear up a few things before I go on:
    2. I'm not judging your entire library by this one post, they all use inferior models not made by you, and have no reflection on you whatsoever. You choose to use these models despite their flaws, and don't care enough to fix them before submitting your work for the world to see. That -is- a reflection on you. You don't care enough to fix this, but you seem to be very defensive when i call you out for using jaggy models. It's because they look awful. You lose integrity when you show inferior models puppeted ameturly. (Your animation is better than most amateurs)
    3. I'm not underestimating how easy it is to subdivide geometry and use smooth shading. It really just isn't that hard.
    4. I'm posting on your work because you seemed to understand these flaws, want to show it off anyway, and don't expect criticism.

This is not to discourage you, this is the opposite. Look up some tutorials, you can be better than this.
