What I did was just cheesed it with the wheel--once you start rapidly turning again and again to the point where you hop to turn instead of stopping, you're completely invincible. The only things that can hurt you are solid objects, which mostly consists of something popping out of the background and throwing Kirby at the screen.

that's weak, man. parasol is for real champs. it gives you lots of ways to approach an enemy and has pretty good attack power (especially when throwing objects into them). it's invincibility frames aren't to the point where the ability is broken either, as you have to pass through the enemy or attack to avoid damage. it's overall a fun yet devastating weapon to mess around with.

Like I said, I cheesed it. I'm not good enough to win a boss rush without cheese.

I did try out the Parasol and made decent progress, but I've not had enough practice dodging attacks. Maybe I should play some of the earlier games, where each powerup had only one or two attacks each.

i'd recommend playing kirby's dream land 2 or nightmare in dreamland.
