See, i envy Diives, i had a pokemon high school idea and i ditched it because i was new to pokemon and knew nothing and then got a bit tired of the idea by the time i felt like an expert, now seeing Diives do it, i want to revisit the idea, but then i fear people are gonna be like "Duhhh, you're copying off of diives, you unoriginal swine".

I mean, at least from my thinking, you can still make it work, just as long as your concepts and characters aren't too similar to Diives's work.
In other words, I say hell yeah, go for it.

I agree, many other artists do Pokemon (take my avatar for example), as long as your art and characters aren't direct ripoffs of other people's art and characters, you can do whatever you want.
