Should you have reservations about relying on this dude? Despite being involved in a sexual intercourse, he consistently demonstrates “kindness?” towards her. Nevertheless, he maintains a calm demeanor. Do you consider it necessary to worry or show appreciation?

I agree. I do hope that instead of being a flat, depthless jerkwad, we end up seeing some more complicated things about his character that make him a bad person in some ways, and a good person in others. That kind of conflicted nature is rare in media (especially smut) but everywhere in reality

If I can be honest as a past abuser and abuse victim I can say he probably is well meaning but misguided, she perceives him as mysterious and threatening because that's all he's presented himself as of yet but he's always expressed solemn sympathy for her situation; he clearly is trying to get her trust but isn't sure of exactly what to do so he's doing what he can: buy shit.

So far in the comic, I've maintined my earlier view that Pon is playing us through Homeless Dog's POV. He's probably some high-paid hopeless romantic loser who is a geek or nerd at heart (hence, architechture career) who has never had luck with women.

And this sentiment sums it up so well. Buy things. Despite being a well paid, buff, kinda attractive guy, he seems quite clueless at best, and manipulative at worst, depends on where the comic goes. He probably has some self esteem and security issues, so he chose her for....whatever reasosn. Whether easy target or true sympathy, we'll see.

Also, I've taken to calling Homeless Dog "Vivian" until we get a name. She seems like a Vivian.

You know, this is getting more and more like "pretty woman" crossed with a sugar daddy/sugar baby situation... This comic truly is capable of walking a tight rope where at any moment it could become sad and soul crushing, but still manages to be so awesomely well written. I didn’t want to believe all the horrible thing that were said about The Suit, but I have come around. Clearly I was wrong about the manipulation, and the ulterior motives, and The Suits clearly sinister intentions.

Clearly anyone who wants to convince her that pussy should be covered is a bad person.

And as for the laundromat that was a guest artist and as such is a lower level of canon.

Characters have flaws that's what makes them human his a rich bastard, but that doesn't mean he can't be a good guy...dunno you get what i try to say hopefully.
