I’ve always wondered if porn artists fap to their own work...

Well if I made something THIS good, I’d be pleased!~

I’m glad im not the only one thinking that.

Can't speak about art, but I'd certainly never bother writing porn that WASN'T worth fapping to.

The answer is: lots, if you're drawing something erotic, you're paying attention to every single detail. As long as it's something the artist is into, it's hard not to get distracted

I know tons of artists that don't or can't fap to their own work.

Welp, I can't speak for all kinds. I guess it would be either the type of people I've asked or a personal thing, but it always seemed fairly common to me

No idea who's down voting this comment, but I used to write a lot of furry smut, and I've found as a general rule, if you can't get off to it, why would you assume anyone else can? It's done me pretty well in the past following that mentality.

To reiterate what I said about artists, there are plenty of writers who cannot get off to their own works, and it has nothing to do with it not being good enough. Many creators can't find appeal in what they create because of the mental work they put into it. With stories, they already know what's going to happen, so there's nothing to surprise them and get them going. Also, speaking from experience, re-reading smut I've written just causes me to see all the flaws, which just ends up being distracting.
