They got broken so she used a drug called Hydra which fixes broken bones but may cause a side effect of the bones having the consistency of rubber. She couldn't use her limbs and when she was like that some group of stallions rapped her after nailing her limbs to the floor. She was taken to a place that gave her new limbs. At least I think that's how it was. It has been a while since I read that part.

Yeah, basically, her legs were nailed to the floor of the boat and had literally the consistency of a wet noddle... So to take her off the boat, instead of taking the time to un-nail her and leave her with useless legs, they sawed them right off... She also has robotic eyes in this pic since she had them shot out over time or something I don't remember exactly.
