  • YAY NEW POST!
i don't like how she said "there's not a lot we can do to her within the law"
this usually means, "look away" and do "undocumented" things, and if anything is leaked out, its he said she said, 100% deniability, no one will hear you scream kind of deal; and sense there's no papers, no proof, in a secret facility, and high ranked officers with hands in A LOT of pockets, gives them reason to get away with murder...
and skunk boy already said (paraphrasing) "shes a feral she doesn't have rights like domestics, we can do anything to her and be legal."
that's just what he said, and i believe that reflects strongly on the Nazi light society he lives in as a domestic.
since Zach already shot a cub for petty and quite possibly racist reasons, I am terrified at what he or the govervment might do to Iuanna...
worst part is he likes her physically...
I've said it before and i will say it again; my "shit ain't right" sense is tingling

Well, to be honest, Zack is the kind of 'I say out loud what I think no matter whar others think about it' type of guy. Other than that, he's simply following orders (that's basically what he's done in his entire life).
The domestics are not really living in a society with Nazi like ideas. It just happens that the military's up to something, though I do believe I don't have to point this out. Their target is the leader of her tribe. And they will come up with something to try and find out his whereabouts. And they're forced to do this in a way that doesn't interfere with the law. For a brief explanation and to see Zack getting beaten up please wait for the next page.

Sure following orders; but there is the choice to follow those orders. Every soldier makes that choice when they are given an order, and can either follow blindly or use logic to disobey, or follow the order because in their mind they agree with it. For the record, following orders blindly knowing they are bad does not absolve you for the sins because ultimately it was their choice to follow.

From Zachs' character, his logic is based as an elitist being a domestic and his negative opinion against wilds. Now I must give you credit, i did go a little bit overboard when i said Nazi like society but what i meant in that, is that there is the society and then there are the people within the society who feel the same as Zach does. Much like real life: there are (not trying to be racist) white society and then there are those inside the society who hate other races and have many followers that agree just based purely on race, color, religion or at times social class.

I do understand the government is up to something (what government in the world isn't?) and that they are trying to find this guy for what ever reason, but just like in real life (referring to guantanimo [dont kno if spelling that right] bay) there are limits to what one can do to interrogate another; and all because they may get information, does not mean how they are getting the information is right. The fact the whole government is in on such atrocities and are condoning and or influencing it when ultimately governments are made to protect people, ultimately hurts me, hurts the world. that's going for all governments and not just the story.

lastly: "For a brief explanation and to see Zack getting beaten up"

^I agree with this, love it, cant wait to see it X3

    - Wall of text I don't want to submit again -

I'm not saying that I disagree with your views, because I don't, but the thing is if you read the novel version then a lot of things would be clearer to you as well, including Zack's motives and behaviour. There are things that reevaluate just so many events when you learn them. I'd recommend you read it, it's quite a few chapters more into the story (currently, near the end of book 5, while the comic is not even in the middle of book 1). Both inkbunny and furaffinity has them, links on kurapika's artist profile.

It is true that wilds and domestics don't really get along. And, as Teddy already stated a few pages back, wilds that are registered domestics are usually discriminated. And yes, that's quite a racist thing. This generally comes from the domestics seeing the wilds as primitive, violent and dangerous, no more than mere savages who hate domestics (and possibly want to kill them on sight). But that's just a stereotype that's pretty far away from the truth. Like, even though the Raven Wolf tribe was cursed to eradicate the domestics from the Earth, their leader was unwilling to do so and instead wanted to achieve peace with them.

And just for the record, (MILD SPOILER, maybe) not even general Louis Mort knows why exactly they are after Shiya.

YAY! we agree on things = ^.^ =
I would love to read the novel but unfortunately I don't have time to read it. In my busy Schedule I barely have time to check the comic for updates and conveniently be the first comment. (I honestly don't know how I stay timely. I just check everyday after work or on my lunch break and its just there, like an hr after posting and no comments)

I guess I would understand more of Zack if i read the novel but one day I will. Till then he is the target of all my hate

I am very interested in how the story is turning out. It's realistic story plot and 3 dimensional characters really make me want to tip my hat off to the artist. I mean even though, Zack isn't real, hit character is made in a way that i can foster real emotional hatred for his actions. That is real talent right there. I wish to help the artist, quite possibly find he or she a publisher and make her a website to officially make this epic story into a webcomic ^^

Well, since the comic is on Mangamagazine, I'd say it can officially be considered a webcomic. And yes, Kura knows how to give these characters real personality. And, well, Zack is generally the target of hatred of the fans, based on comments from here and there.

"i don't' hate Zack i despise his very existence."
    - sayami on Mangamagazine, chapter 5 cover

Noticed this early. He also gives a gaydar reading.

Bangs over one eye WAS in the 80s done by few straight males.

30 years later....pretty sure the skunk is gay.

this is really far in the future, I'd say something as 4000's minimum since there was a hole glacial era and tribal society era till we got to modern civilization again.
