If Skaven females mate with male Skaven, they swell into dull witted obese Skaven broodmothers, who produce 5 or more babies per week and can barely move. Which means no matter how horny they get they can't have relief with Skaven males

Yeah, the Skaven society goes out of its way to keep the breeding pipeline at maximum capacity due to their fucked up, toxic social ideology. But it is also important to remember that Warhammer Fantasy's lore likes to be... well, sly. The book will tell you one thing, but it's usually from an individual perspective with an angle to push, and it's nudging you to read between the lines.

In the case of female Skaven, the lore states that the Skaven believe female Skaven are devoid of autonomy and incapable of holding any other role in society except baby factory. However, the Skaven believe a lot of things. Lots of those things are complete hogwash, and the Skaven have proven multiple times before that they can and will just straight up ignore things that don't fit their worldview.

So if there WAS a female Skaven who avoided being fast-tracked into the broodmother pipeline, well, it'd be a question if the bulk of the population could even recognize her for a female, because the way she looks and acts doesn't fit into their worldview of what female Skaven are. And even if they did recognize it, then the odds are quite good that they would actively delude themselves into thinking otherwise, because clearly, no female Skaven can, etc..

There is also lore on the Skaven females being psykers since they are so fueled by warpstone. There is also the under kingdoms under the Skaven empires (It all goes deeper!)
that are run by varying types of skaven, and also skaven that actively resist the Great Horned rat. So, there is the idea of deep skaven societies that are...pure(?).

That also before the hole skaven becoming Psudo demonic entities in AOS....anyhow look up ysoki, basically skaven without being neurotic drug addled psychopaths

i think in every practical sense no female would ever get enough 'fresh air' to avoid being shoveled back into the breeding factory cycle. especially since, from experience from loyalty crisis in total war warhammer 2, scent is a strong determinant of status, and if say one particular slave was scented like a lord's scion or follower, they'd have the authority over say lesser skaven. rats man... sad the skaven are still my 2nd favorite warhammer race/faction
