your oc is supposed to represent you. if you go overboard on your oc it makes it look like you are overcompensating for something. in this case with alicorn ocs its "hey look at me im so important im royalty". and for enlarged bodyparts (that the oc's owner says is actually that size and not enlarged for a fetish) its like saying "yes ladies (or fellas) i totally truly have this size". make your oc YOU. not some flashy sack of shit. thank you for your time reading this, have a nice day.

And it is assholes like you that make the world of roleplaying and Rule 34 Artistry a living hell...

    1) OC isn't mine, it is a commission.

    2) OC stands for original character. OC doesn't mean -sona which sona is actually a character created that is a representation of you. OC's are either actual original characters or is used as a term for fan characters created from a show or game that doesn't necessarily reflect its creator but rather is a character that could fit in the universe its source is from ( mostly ). There are the special occasions.

    3) It's a picture. If there is something with the image you don't like, you could have easily just ignored it and moved on. Just remember that the next time.

I wish more people would understand that.

Okay bro that is a OC not every OC a fursona, and even if it was that is a commission the Artist did for another person. That means that it would be made how that person wants it to look and everything, why because they Paid for it. Second you complain about the size and proportions question have you every viewed literally anything else from suirano that is their style you can literally look at any piece of their art and see the exact same style. Last thought who are you to tell someone how a charater they make should be like how they should look and all of that it is not your choice it is their's because that is there own OC that does not have to automatically be a fursona just because it is an OC. I myself have had like 45 OC charaters I have made up in my life and none of them remotely act like me they are ideas I had for something that I figured I would make something out of. This is all I have to say in the matter

Holy fuck, you're one of us smart people who have a shred of common sense. Hallelujah.

    -sona = OC
    OC =/= -sona
    OC can = -sona

I mean, my cartoon rendition of myself (cartoona?) has grey hair, black eyes and 255 RGB white skin, and their dick is comically large. Does that make the character not me? No. Like, Makarimorph has like 20 ways of drawing himself (goodness, you must be squirming in your seat over that), but his human rendition is a very girly cuntboy that, in my opinion, looks a bit Asian, while he IRL is a typical male. Does that make his sona overcompensate or poorly represent him or his personality? No.
One of the reasons why we draw ourselves as a caricature of ourselves is to depict ourselves how we want to depict ourselves, even if it isn't accurate. I depict myself cartoony because I think its funny. I bet Makari draws himself as a cuntboy because that's just what he's into.

I also like how you has the audacity to add one of those "have a nice day" things at the end, as if you said something intelligent.

It's about time somebody else commented on this, ESPECIALLY because all these big names making their own characters for their work that AREN'T representative of themselves is getting out of hand.

I'm making a petition to sue J.K. Rowling for not making Harry Potter exactly as she is.

Having a hard time telling if you're being serious, or if it's sarcasm. The last sentence hints strongly at sarcasm, but there are those people who would do that, so... No comment or vote from me here.

you know. i have seen far worse. such as the infamous "tamati doughnut steele" bassicly the epitome of an egotistical character. even the way he speaks to others manifests it. litteraly a troll who uses his character to piss people off.

so yes. this character might have a hint of ego. it doesent have anywher near the ego of example T.

While personas are ocs, ocs are not all personas. Let me explain:
I have a variety of characters I write and create but they aren't represenitive of myself in fact their are some I find their personality rotten but I still wrote them for the sake of having a needed character type in a story. These are still my ocs because they are my original characters meaning they are a character made by me.

However I will also say a sona works in 3 ways(if there are more I am not aware)
    1. A complete self insert where the character adopts nearly every bit of you from body type to interest to past
    2. a aspiration of whom you want to be. Still having your own personality to them but with some added things you want to be like making them more confident because you want to be or making them more muscular because you aspire to be that way and are working toward it. A sort of self motivation technique if you will
    3. partial inserts. partial inserts you put yourself into the character yes but you change just a few things for the sake of writing a character these are often times a character type that are bent to adjust to the way the universe and characters in it work and to build a story with it such as I am making a pony oc that has very similar ties to me but he is changed slightly for the sake of writing a story while at the core concepts being me it diverges

I hope this has been educational for you.
