'Item's a pretty lucky guy - for his birthday he won an exclusive island safari led by none other than the famous Pokemon Idol Marina! He was instantly enamored with the vivacious trainer, but saw no hope of his sentiments being shared. He hoped against hoped that a kindly mind-bending 'mon might hop out of the bushes or the surf and give his guide a healthy dose of googly-eyes, but all the Drowzees were napping at that time of day and all the Inkay were swimming to the other side of the island helping zorro with his birthday party. But Item was determined, and used all his brainpower to make his birthday wish come true. And wouldn't you know it? A time-space-franchise portal opened right on the beach in front of them, an out popped a swirly-eyed critter from another dimension! Marina quickly mistook the little guy as a new breed of Pokemon, and that was all she wrote! And so it was that Item got everything he'd ever wanted for his birthday, provided he remembered to never under any circumstances snap his fingers.'
