Haven't played the game or watched the anime in years, but something tells me that this isn't canon.

And if it is, then holy shit I need to start playing the games and/or watching the anime.

The official games are all E-E10+ (or whatever the equivalents are in the PEGI and CERO rating system), with the latter being extremely rare, and the show is even less adult than the games, so no, this isn't canon.

But if explicit details like this were included in the games, even if only as little details subtly alluded to in the regional libraries, then Pokémon would be much more interesting.~

Read the marriage translational from the Japanese text. It says humans and Pokemon used to get married in old times.
