    It's like when Frisk died, Flowey was waiting for her (they appear to be female in this comic) to reset from last save. But when the soul broke and shattered, it was over. No more resets. No more Frisk. And with that, Flowey was heartbroken. I suppose he never knew how much he loved Frisk, until Frisk was gone forever.

    Wait, I thought only Boss Monsters were special in the way that they can technically be immortal if they don't have a child? Why are the other monsters ageless while Frisk is old?

    Well, not really. Now that Frisk IS dead, Flowey has regained control of the Resets.
