  • I want to put a +1, but Luna can't be that much darker then her sister. If anything, she should be pale skinned seeing as how she watches over the night.

Ya...for some reason they like to make her dark skinned in order to reflect that she is princess of the night, where as celestia is light skinned and is princess of the sun. Kind of ass backwards.

The same happens with rarity for some reason too...she seems to have dark skin a lot despite her pristene white coat.

If you want it go by the logical way, then only Zecora should be dark skinned as a human.

Otherwise it seems to be a matter of preference who is made dark skinned, and who light skinned.

The logic I was pointing out had nothing to do with a pony sounding like they are "african". It had more to do with their associated specialty/coloring. While Luna is a dark colored pony, its more reasonable that as the Princess of the Night she would be fair in complexion. Rarity who is into everything fashionable and has a pure white coat should also be fair in complexion. A pony like Applejack and Rainbow dash, because of the athleticism and penchant for being "outdoorsy" should be darker in complexion. Its just evaluating the ponies for the traits not implied racial attributes.

You'd call a randomly attributed skin color "a trait"?

    That makes sence.
