April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.

MemberDo they give birth like humans do, though? Can't remember, been ages since i played Mass Effect. I mean, conception works way different than amongst humans. Allways wonderes... do Asari have... humanoid parts down there? Could they, theoretically get pregnant the same way humans do? And if now, why would they have "normal" vaginas?

MemberAsari are mammalian and give live births same as us. Whats different is the conception process. Being a monogendered Species there is no sperm and egg, but rather a form of asexual reproduction. Using their "natural" biotic abilities the Asari "Mother" connects with her partner on a genetic level thru physical contact, using their DNA as a reference to randomize their own, thus conceiving a viable offspring. No exchange of fluids necessary.
Modern Day Asari after the established mingling with other Species had created the stigma that reproducing with members of your own people was actually detrimental to the species. "Pureblood" is an insult and two Asari mating is akin to our prejudice against Incest.
