This is what happens to furries chosen to serve as a pod plant's 'mate'. These plants can't survive without a large animal to symbiotically join with. Although the relationship certainly is not even! The poor furry is gassed and drugged and contained within the fluid filled sac of the plant, provided with oxygen and nutrients, then endlessly tentacle raped. That serves two purposes. One is to keep them in a helpless mental state of repeated orgasms, leaving their minds unable to focus on resisting or trying to escape. The second is to use the furries bodies as chemical factories, producing whatever the dragons need of that particular pair. Sometimes antidotes, other times medicines... all compounds impossible to create in any other way.
The rare plants are a vital part of the dragon's war effort, so it is vital they are always being cared for and given the best and healthiest furries to join with. Of course in all honesty the dragons would STILL do this even if they didn't have to! Naughty!
