April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

MemberWhen I uploaded them they got deleted.
When someone else uploads them, they get approved instantly.

Former StaffIf you don’t mind me asking, but what was the reason for your previous uploads to get deleted?
Nicklo6649
Former StaffI seem to have misunderstood you.
Your uploads got deleted because the ones I uploaded was higher quality, which is a high priority on this site to have.
post #1476439 isn’t the highest quality of what’s available either. You can choose to upload the higher quality version and flag the lower quality one, or let someone else do it for you.

MemberYeah I know that, but the reason why THIS picture was taken down was because it didn't meet the "quality standards of e621"
Also, who the hell wants a to download a "not so detailed picture" in a resolution that fills your screen 6 times?

Former StaffEvery admin has a slightly different “look” on the minimum standards, so perhaps you were just unlucky. But if you really feel like that it didn’t go under the minimum standards, then you could ask the admin (NotMeNotYou) who deleted it.

I’m just a simple user, and still don’t quite understand the very core rules of the minimum stanards, but I honestly don’t see how your recent art goes under that, as it’s pretty good.
Site works as an archive, which means that it tries to store the best version of whatever gets uploaded, in case of an event that causes the original image at the source to get deleted or otherwise lost. This means that it doesn’t really matter how big the image is (though there is a resolution limit of 15000 by 15000 pixels) as long as you get the version that’s the closest to the original.

MemberI asked NotMeNotYou back then. He said he deleted it because it was photographed. I explained him that it was not the case, he still refused to restore them.
I told him it's ok if he thinks it doesn't meet his standards. I accept that.
Thanks for the information and for liking my art.
Could you please upload the original file of that Renamon pic then since you flagged it for deletion?
Nicklo6649
Former StaffUnfortunately no, as it falls under the category of being deleted before, which if broken, can result in it being taken down once again, and the uploader receiving either a record or even suspension, depending on their past actions.
