he HAS consistently described as being very very weird, so maybe he's not really evil, all the weird movements he does are just because of that, he's weird, like at the end of chapter one, he takes out his knife, but in the end, he just ate all of the pie Toriel made, and he also has a strange fixation on knives, like how in Queen's mansion in his room, one of the search results is "sharpest kitchen knife jello" so he's the type of kid that watches those videos

Another possibility is that Kris, like Queen, truly believes that if he brought the Dark World into ours, he could "fix" things for the few people close to him (even if it's in a somewhat selfish way). Things like having Asriel at home, or Asgore still with Toriel, or Rudy being out of the hospital while Noelle's mom is sick, etc. The "I can fix things with this power" mindset.
Either that or he's deliberately using the Dark World to help people. Seeing Noelle's spike in confidence, Berdly learning humility, Susie finding a friend and getting to be better... He may see it as a way to force people into a situation that makes them confront their issues and grow

It's either because he's lonely, or if you took the PIPIS LOL FUNNY route, in direct defiance of what you want as a player, and indirectly, Ralsei. This game is going to be likely one in which the route is the same and actions are the same, but what happens between major actions is different, and the context for why those actions happen are dramatically different.
