You really need to look into the history of Pride, and the part that kinksters have played in its success.

Literally. We’re the most queer fandom I can think of, with a website that has gay, futa, and more getting crazy up votes. Yet, when people do something like this all the queerphobes come out to be, well, hateful.

That's fair. I also realized it depends on which country we're in. Like in the USA we'll just get shot for existing. My comment was partly driven by that fear.
