Pilfering pizza - a preposterous plea; plaintiff’s probably plotting plenty perfidious points such as that. … Okay sorry, that was just silly, but it isn’t really that preposterous to assume Mike might try to make off with a pizza pie. However, as much as he loves to eat, he tends to temper that with knowing that others have to eat too, and he resists the urge to gorge himself on snacks, junk food, etc. But when the house was celebrating a League Gym victory, pizza was ordered for themselves and a couple friends, and everyone would have enough? Weeell…
The food showed up earlier than the people, and before he knew it, Mike was in a house with four pizza pies and little to no supervision - which, in and of itself, is a terrifying sentence. Mike’s trainer caught him carrying a pie away from the counter as he was signing the receipt, and leapt into action one the delivery boy was off. Mike swerved into the kitchen, but Matt still went for the box. Mike began to hold it aloft, not eager to part with it, so Matt figured he’d lower those arms. “N-No!” he stammered out, Matt’s fingers already finding his ribs and underarms, no matter how he twisted. “Thihihis is for the parteEHEEHEE–!” Mike squealed, knees buckling. Matt knew better - Mike was going to squirrel it away! Not a chance!
What do you think? Would Mike steal a whole pizza from a party? Well, if there are still three pizza pies for the other four people, that’s twenty-four slices! That’s still six slices for each person, which is a lot of pizza. So maaaybe Matt could stand to let Mike have a pizza all to himself and not have to worry about it, but it’s a matter of presentation! Would you want to be a three-pizza host or a four-pizza host? I think the answer is obvious.
And the answer is that this is a silly concern.
